The Iranian Ministry of Intelligence announced the arrest of 3 agents of the Israeli intelligence service (Mossad), according to Fars News Agency for children.

The (semi-governmental) agency quoted security sources as saying that the detainees were involved in the dissemination of confidential information and documents, and they were arrested in Sistan and Baluchestan province (southeast of Iran). The agency did not specify the nationality of the three detainees.

The announcement of the arrest of the Mossad cell comes a month after the Revolutionary Guards thwarted a "sabotage operation", which he described as complex, targeting the "Fordo" nuclear facility near the city of Qom last March, according to Iranian television.

It is noteworthy that the former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented documents related to the Iranian nuclear program in 2018, saying that they were obtained after a successful operation by the Mossad.

This was denied by Iranian officials at the time, and said that the documents were fabricated, and categorically denied the theft.

It is noteworthy that the Russian International Affairs Council accused the Israeli Mossad and the US Central Intelligence Agency "CIA" (CIA) of carrying out a series of offensive intelligence operations over the years aimed at undermining Iran's nuclear program.

He stressed that both agencies have long been involved in efforts to derail the Iranian nuclear program through this type of operation, the latest of which is the assassination of prominent Iranian scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh on November 27, 2020.
