Left vacant for several years, one of the kiosks on Place Bellecour in Lyon has recently come back to life.

No sale of flowers offered, nor take-out sales.

The municipality has chosen to install a new sustainable mobility service there.

For the past few days, the Lyon-based company Fix & Move, specializing in bicycle rental and repair, has occupied these places.

Two other kiosks returned to service

With this new service offered near the tourist office, the ecological municipality makes no secret of it, it aims to promote "more virtuous tourism" by boosting visitors' bicycle trips.

"This also makes it possible to deconcentrate tourist activity and to discover the richness of the heritage beyond the Presqu'île and Vieux-Lyon", indicates the City.

Two other kiosks in the city have recently been put back into service.

The one in the Place des Jacobins now hosts a take-out catering service based on local products.

The restaurant La Petite Syrianne, which hires people who are unemployed, has set up shop in the Boulevard des Belges restaurant to offer Syrian dishes to take away.
