In the chief executive election in Hong Kong next month, the candidate Lee, who is sure to win the election, revealed that the account of YouTube, the video posting site used for the campaign, has been closed.

It seems that Mr. Lee is subject to sanctions by the US government, and Mr. Lee's side is increasing the opposition as "injustice".

In the election to decide the chief executive of the Hong Kong government on the 8th of next month, it is certain that Mr. Lee Jia-cho, who was from the police and was the number two government, will be the only candidate to run for the election and be elected.

Lee's campaign manager said on the 20th that he was notified by Google, the American IT giant that operates the video posting site YouTube, that he was using.

Lee has posted videos such as his own press conference on YouTube after announcing his candidacy on the 6th of this month, but it is no longer accessible.

According to Mr. Lee, Google explained that this measure "violates the rules".

In August 2020, when Lee was the Chief Executive of the Security Bureau, he was subject to sanctions designated by the US government as "violating Hong Kong's autonomy," along with Chief Executive of Hong Kong Carrie Lam and senior officials of the Chinese government.

The account closure measures are believed to be the result of Google's consideration of this, and Lee has reinforced the opposition, saying that "sanctions are unreasonable pressure and unreasonable response."
