The Democratic Party leadership continued to discuss the issue of nomination for Seoul mayor in the June 1 local election, including the exclusion of former Representative Song Young-gil and Rep. Park Ju-min, but could not reach a conclusion.

The Democratic Party's Emergency Response Committee held a meeting at the company's headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul for about two hours from 9:00 to 11:00 pm on the 20th (February 20) and discussed the Seoul mayor's nomination strategy, including the policy of exclusion of nominations decided by the Party's Strategic Nomination Management Committee.

After the meeting, the Democratic Party's chief spokesperson Yoh Yong-jin met with reporters and said, "We had a heated discussion over the cutoff decision of the Strategic Mission Committee and the results of the party's opinion poll." We couldn't get it down, so we decided to proceed with further discussions."

Senior Spokesperson Ko also added, "We have not come to a conclusion on both the person and the method," adding, "There were many opinions that it would be wrong to try to contact more candidates and open the door to more candidates."

In addition, with respect to what Ho-joong Yun, the co-chair of the co-contractor said yesterday morning, that he would come to a conclusion within yesterday, "The goal was the same, but there were significant differences among the members of the escalation and there was a time constraint, so everyone agreed that it should be considered for a day or two “, he explained.

In fact, co-chairman Park Ji-hyeon also criticized the decision of the Strategic Nomination Management Committee at a meeting yesterday morning, saying, "It was a decision that ignored all party members, Seoul citizens, and the people."

Some inside and outside the party are speculating that the Democratic Party's leadership is working to persuade former SMEs and Startups Minister Park Young-seon and former Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha to run for Seoul mayor.

Regarding the timing of the decision, Senior Spokesperson Koh added, "It is a short period, but we have to make a decision by tomorrow at the earliest or Friday at the latest."

Considering that the deadline for resigning from the parliamentary office is 30 days, the idea is that if the primary is to be held, the candidate and the election method must be finalized by this week.

Meanwhile, former lawmaker Sohn Hye-won, who is known to support former representative Song, posted on her Facebook while the Democratic Party abdicated, and Yoon said that he was planning to withdraw only the cut-off of Rep. Park and exclude Song from the nomination. and denounced it as a crude conclusion.

In the meantime, former lawmaker Sohn said, "We will hold an evacuation committee at 7:30 am today, hold a meeting with the first-time lawmakers in Seoul, and come to a conclusion around lunchtime. It's hitting," he insisted again.

As former Rep. Sohn insisted, Vice Chairman Yoon confirmed that he was having a meeting with the first-time members of the Seoul National Assembly at the National Assembly this morning.

However, Senior Spokesperson Koh was wary of broad interpretations, saying, "The seat cannot be a place to decide, but a place to gather opinions."

He also said, "It has not been decided that way," regarding Son's argument.
