There is no official demonstration on the part of the authorities or the army, which annoys the defenders of the memory of
Idriss Déby
.
It is indeed the party that sets the measure.
The Patriotic Salvation Movement has been organizing since the beginning of the week an "
out of mourning
" with prayers, conferences on the ex-president, and this Wednesday, the laying of the first stone of his future mausoleum in Amdjarass,
in the north .
-east of the country
, his place of origin.
The construction of this marble structure, 7 meters high and 650m², should last 8 months.
The President of the Transitional Military Council, his son,
Mahamat Idriss Déby
, has been in the region for a few days.
He participated in a collective prayer on Tuesday but not in the commemoration of this Wednesday.

On the other hand, he addressed his compatriots on Tuesday evening.
In a 20-minute speech that he delivered in military fatigues, he acknowledged some failures of the CMT and promised to correct them.
Among them, the community conflicts that have bloodied several regions since the beginning of the year and the recurring problem of power cuts that poison the daily lives of Chadians.
But overall, he drew up an exhaustive and positive assessment of his action, mainly in terms of security.
The threat repelled, doubt dispelled, wounds healed, mourning overcome... The advent of the transition is blowing out its first candle in rediscovered serenity.
Nothing fatal is ahead of us.
On our way to a Chad rid of its old demons, we were able to ensure the essentials together: a country standing and a people at work.
Mahamat Idriss Déby during his speech
The military takeover a year ago avoided an "
institutional vacuum
", he added.
Mahamat Idriss Déby confirmed the continuation of the start of the inclusive national dialogue on May 10, an appointment which he described as "
crucial
", despite the protests of the politico-military groups which are still discussing in Doha and of part of civil domestic opposition.
This exercise in complacency should feed the conversations of those who fear that the dialogue is in reality a facade intended to allow him to stay in power.
