From the data point of view, the quality and effect of the case handling of the "four major procuratorates" have been improved in an all-round way.
The rate of non-arrest and non-prosecution of criminal cases increased year-on-year.
From January to March this year, the number of criminal procuratorial cases handled by procuratorial organs across the country was stable. A total of 143,000 criminal suspects of various types were approved and decided to arrest, down 27.3% year-on-year; 86,000 people were not arrested, up 21.2% year-on-year, and the non-arrest rate was 38.1% , an increase of 11.1 percentage points year-on-year.
498,000 people were prosecuted for review, down 1.8% year-on-year; 329,000 people decided to prosecute, down 9% year-on-year; 83,000 people decided not to prosecute, up 42.9% year-on-year, and the non-prosecution rate was 20.1%, up 6.3 percentage points year-on-year.
In terms of civil prosecution, from January to March this year, procuratorial organs across the country completed a total of 16,000 cases of effective civil judgment supervision, a year-on-year increase of 10.9%; 7,436 procuratorial suggestions were made on illegal acts in civil trial activities, a year-on-year increase of 76.3%; There were 7,458 procuratorial suggestions for illegal acts in enforcement activities, a year-on-year increase of 48.9%.
In terms of administrative prosecution, from January to March this year, procuratorial organs across the country completed more than 3,000 cases of administrative effective judgment supervision, of which 37 were protested to the court; 2,222 were procuratorial suggestions for administrative trial activities, a year-on-year increase of 1.7 times. ; 5,978 procuratorial suggestions were made on illegal acts in administrative enforcement activities, an increase of 85.4% year-on-year; 1,443 administrative disputes were substantively resolved.
In terms of public interest litigation prosecution, from January to March this year, procuratorial organs across the country filed and handled 43,000 public interest litigation cases, a year-on-year increase of 23%.
Among them, more than 5,500 civil public interest litigation cases were filed, and 37,000 administrative public interest litigation cases were filed.
The quality and efficiency of case handling has been improved after the unified performance of intellectual property procuratorial functions.
From January to March 2022, procuratorial organs nationwide prosecuted a total of 2,704 suspects of intellectual property infringement, a year-on-year increase of 1.7%.
The crimes involved in the prosecution case are mainly the crime of counterfeiting registered trademarks and the crime of selling commodities with counterfeit registered trademarks, with 1,072 and 1,011 persons, respectively, accounting for 77% of the total number of prosecutions.
At the same time, procuratorial organs across the country also accepted 57 cases involving intellectual property rights, including civil and administrative effective judgments, and mediation supervision cases.
Data show that from January to March this year, the total number of procuratorial petitions dropped, and judicial assistance continued to advance.
Procuratorial organs across the country received a total of 186,000 letters and visits from the masses, a year-on-year decrease of 16.1%; repeated letters and visits were 58,000, a year-on-year decrease of 17.4%.
The number of criminal compensation applications accepted and cases decided to grant criminal compensation decreased by 25.7% and 30.6% respectively year-on-year.
7,080 judicial aids were carried out, a year-on-year increase of 63.3%, and 64.565 million yuan of relief funds were issued, a year-on-year increase of 36.6%.
