In Sri Lanka, an island country in the Indian Ocean, where the economic crisis continues, police fired at people protesting fuel prices and others, killing one.

There have been a series of protests against the government in various parts of the country, but this is the first time that a person has died.

Police fired on the 19th in Rambuccana, about 90 kilometers from Sri Lanka's largest city, Colombo, when locals were blocking the road in protest of fuel prices and other factors.



According to police, one person was killed and at least 10 were injured.
