It was in July last summer that Robert Karlsson was attacked outdoors by a 32-year-old man.

In the middle of the riot, Ingemar Jonsson, who has experience as a military security guard, intervened and stopped the bloody assault.

- I made a round kick and then I pushed him, Ingemar told SVT when he was reunited with Robert for the first time.

Shares the district court's view

The 32-year-old was charged with attempted murder and sentenced in the district court to twelve years in prison and damages of SEK 220,000 to the victim.

The verdict was appealed to the Court of Appeal, which makes a different assessment and reduces the sentence to nine years in prison and the damages to SEK 168,000.

"He hit all the time with a high frequency"

In the clip below, you hear when Robert returns to the crime scene and tells about the assault.
