"It was a person who saw smoke coming out of the apartment and sounded the alarm," said police RLC officer Mikael Lindgren.

When rescue services and police arrived at the scene, it burned with open flames from the apartment.

Smoke divers and a total of six units from the rescue service fought the fire.

One person was cared for by ambulance personnel on site.

The cause of the fire is still unclear.

- We will investigate the circumstances surrounding this fire, Lindgren said.

Just over an hour after the alarm was received by the police, the fire was under control, but the rescue service stopped for a while for post-extinguishing work.
