“The Main Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee has charged the former Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East, Alexander Krutikov, and the former head of the ministry’s department, Alexander Pavlov, with abuse of power (part 3 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), ”Izvestia quotes a message from the department.
The court chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention for the defendants in the case.
The case also lists Alexander Pudovkin, ex-director of Asia Les LLC, who was previously detained on charges of fraud.
According to investigators, in 2016-2018, Pudovkin provided the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East with false documents about the creation by his company of forestry infrastructure facilities, which were not actually built.
After that, he received subsidies in the amount of 840 million rubles.
At the same time, Krutikov and Pavlov, without conducting inspections, approved the conclusion on the compliance of Pudovkin's company with the criteria according to which Asia Les LLC can receive subsidies.
Earlier, the Minister of Tourism and Health Resorts of the region was detained in the Stavropol Territory on suspicion of abuse of power.
