At the same time as the government urged the British people to keep their distance and avoid crowds, circumscribed parties were held on 10 Downing Street.

On Tuesday, Boris Johnson spoke for the first time in Parliament after the £ 50 fine.

The fine makes him the first prime minister caught breaking the law during his reign.

"Be a mistake"

In his speech, he says that he paid the fine immediately and understands that there is both anger and a feeling of betrayal.

He also points out that the British people have the right to expect more from their prime minister.

- But I did not understand then or afterwards that the gathering could be a rule violation.

I repeat, it was a mistake, and I apologize unconditionally for that, he says before Parliament.

He also emphasizes that he did not deliberately mislead Parliament.

Boris Johnson also says he will respect the continued work of the police and take the necessary action.

The Prime Minister also says that he has already made changes to the work on Downing Street 10.

After touching on "partygate", Boris Johnson continued to talk about the situation in Ukraine.

Demands for Johnson's resignation

After the "party gate", there have been demands for the Prime Minister's resignation.

The opposition has also accused Boris Johnson of using the conflict in Ukraine as a "shield" to keep his job.

Support for Boris Johnson plummeted after the "partygate" revelation.

A total of twelve parties have been the subject of the police investigation.

Boris Johnson must be present at at least three of them.
