Corsica for the recognition of its rights”, writes Femu a Corsica on social networks.

“It is up to candidate Macron to convince the Corsicans”

The party, which does not call for a vote for outgoing President Emmanuel Macron, asks the latter "to say publicly, during the last days of the campaign, whether he is in favor of a global political solution, of a status of autonomy of right and full exercise, to the recognition of the Corsican people”.

"It is up to the candidate Macron to convince the Corsicans who recognize themselves in the ideas that we hold that they will not once again be deceived and despised if they decide to give him their vote", continues the party. .

"In the state of the ambiguous and worrying silence of the candidate on these essential choices (...) there can therefore be no question for Femu a Corsica to give a voting instruction in favor of Emmanuel Macron", concluded Femu a Corsica.

Corsica was shaken by demonstrations enamelled with violence after the deadly attack in prison of the independence activist Yvan Colonna who was serving a sentence for the assassination of the prefect of Corsica Claude Erignac.

Faced with the clashes, a process of political dialogue announced by the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin was suspended.
