As follows from the appeal of parliamentarians to the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, the work of hackers could create a situation where “due to the hacking of the networks of the ministry, Hungarian diplomacy has become practically an open book for Moscow.”

“The Russians can know in advance how the Hungarian Foreign Ministry thinks and plans.

This is happening at a very difficult time,” the document says.

In this regard, politicians asked Borrell what measures he had taken in order to verify this information.

“What measures will the High Representative take to prevent confidential EU documents containing security-threatening information from falling into the hands of the Russian authorities through hacking attacks on the Hungarian Foreign Ministry?”

– European deputies also asked.

Political scientist Ruslan Balbek, in a conversation with RT, commented on the appeal of parliamentarians.

In his opinion, the representatives of the EP should pay attention to the settlement of economic problems in the European Union, including those caused by anti-Russian sanctions, and not try to spin the story allegedly related to the work of "Russian hackers".

“I don't know why European politicians are doing nonsense instead of solving vital economic problems.

Apparently, these people are doing well in life, including with financial well-being, and therefore they do not have time to think about pressing issues.

So they are engaged in "opposition" to fictional hackers.

I think, first of all, voters should think about whom they chose to defend their interests.

There is political incompetence and a disregard for their electorate here,” the expert said.

Earlier, the Hungarian Foreign Ministry said that information about the hacking of the department's systems is being spread by the opposition in order to cause political damage to the government on the eve of the parliamentary elections.

Note that the elections in Hungary were held in early April.

As a result of the vote, the Fidesz-PPCD alliance won 135 out of 199 seats in parliament.
