"Know that if you take any action against the Iranian nation, the target of our armed forces will be the heart of the Zionist regime. They will not leave you alone," said Ebrahim Raisi.

Iran's president had warned on Thursday that Iran would not allow its sworn enemy Israel to endanger the security of the region through any country.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi warned Israel on Monday against any action targeting Iran, during a speech to soldiers on the occasion of Army Day in Tehran.

"Know that if you carry out the slightest action against the Iranian nation, the objective of our armed forces will be the heart of the Zionist regime [Israel, editor's note]. (...) They will not leave you alone", declared Ebrahim Raïsi .

Iran's president had warned on Thursday that Iran would not allow its sworn enemy Israel to endanger the security of the region through any country, including Iraq.

In March, Iran fired a dozen ballistic missiles at Erbil, capital of the autonomous region of Iraqi Kurdistan, slightly injuring two civilians.

The Revolutionary Guards, Iran's ideological army, confirmed firing the projectiles, saying the attack targeted a "strategic center" used by Israel.

Erbil Governor Oumid Khouchnaw called the existence of Israeli sites in and around Erbil "baseless", saying that "there were no Israeli sites in the area".

“Know that the great power of our armed forces will not leave you alone,” Ebrahim Raïssi launched Monday against the Jewish state.

Nuclear talks stalled

Tehran announced at the end of January its intention to stop using the so-called Tesa complex in Karaj, west of the capital, targeted in the summer of 2021 by an attack attributed to Israel by the Islamic Republic.

On Thursday, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said it had been informed by Iran of the commissioning of a new workshop for manufacturing centrifuge components in Natanz (center), the main enrichment site of uranium in the country.

This development comes as negotiations to save the 2015 international agreement on Iran's nuclear program have still not resulted in an agreement, a year after they started in Vienna.

To reach an agreement in Vienna, the Iranians are demanding in particular that the Americans remove the Revolutionary Guards from their blacklist of "foreign terrorist organizations".

But the American right and Israel have warned Washington against such a decision.

Israel opposes a possible return to the 2015 international agreement governing Iran's nuclear program.
