RBC: manufacturers in Russia decided to reduce the production of packaging cardboard by 25%

According to Guryanov, in the face of declining demand, the largest cardboard producers decided to reduce its production in 2022 by 25%.

“Attempts to attract additional orders by sharply reducing prices would be the worst solution, dumping in itself is unable to generate additional demand and will only destroy the industry,” he explains.

The press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade specified that some manufacturers of such cardboard slowed down the pace of production, but not a single enterprise stopped work.

At the end of March, the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced an increased demand for milk packaging.

At the same time, the department noted that domestic manufacturers have stocks of raw materials and materials, and in the near future Russian-made food cardboard will enter the market.
