If the candidate of the Rassemblement National was elected on Sunday evening, how would she transform the school?

Its program for education proposes a series of measures aimed at combating "pedagogism", restoring discipline and enhancing the value of the function of primary and secondary teachers.

What would school look like if Rassemblement National candidate Marine Le Pen came to power?

On the one hand, in primary school and up to ninth grade, students would wear a uniform.

This would be chosen by the establishment.

In elementary school, each day would be extended by an hour, to work more on French, mathematics and history-geography.

But part of the homework would be done in class.

The programs of the subjects would be, as for them, subjected to the vote of the Parliament.

Another important development for primary schools: timetables would include fewer fun activities.

No more, for example, birthday snacks.

"Those who last all afternoon", specifies the elected Gilles Pennelle, main architect at the RN of educational measures.

Finally, the duplication of classes would be extended to all CPs and all Grandes Sections, and no longer only to REP and REP+ establishments.

The professional path and apprenticeship from the age of 14

On the other hand, for college students who wish, vocational training could be chosen from the 5th.

Students would then begin to work in apprenticeship from the age of 14.

For general high schools, the old baccalaureate would make a comeback, with the old S, L and ES series.

And within establishments, disciplinary sanctions would be reinforced, and video protection generalized.

Finally, the training institutes for future teachers (the National Institutes of Teaching and Education) would be abolished, considered too "ideological" according to the candidate.

Endowed with a master 2, the teachers would prepare for the CAPES or the aggregation, and would be trained by peers.

Their salaries would be increased: 3% increase each year during the five-year term, promised the candidate.
