The number of reported cases of assault has decreased by 15 percent since 2016 in the Bergslagen Police Region, which includes Dalarna, Örebro and Värmland. Yet there are those who have an image that violence in society is increasing and live in fear of being exposed to violent crime.
- If we look at the self-reported vulnerability, it is relatively constant, even though the reduction has taken place by 15 percent, says Robin Olsson, criminologist at the County Administrative Board of Värmland.
