• Government Sánchez considers Podemos amortized: "Either the PSOE governs with the space of Yolanda Díaz or the extreme right"

  • The Feijóo Panel hunts Sánchez and most already see him as the next president

The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, wants to move the "framework" of the political conversation towards his field.

His priority is to lower the taxes on energy consumption and to deflate the personal income tax rate, to "alleviate the tension that many families are suffering" due to the sharp rise in the

CPI

, which rose to 9.8% year-on-year in March.

"We need to lower taxes so that there are families who can make ends meet, not well, but less badly than they are doing," Feijóo insisted in statements to the media after an institutional act in

Galicia

, before judging that "With 10% inflation, a prime minister who doesn't lower taxes has no heart."

"I am surprised that a president laughs at the proposal that the majority of Spaniards are waiting for," the president of the PP has charged again against the socialist leader.

In his view, the policy of generating more debt and more spending and not lowering taxes "generates poverty."

Feijóo will meet on Tuesday with the social agents (

CCOO

,

UGT

,

CEOE

and

Cepyme

), with whom he will discuss the economic "exits" to the "inflationary tension" that

Spain

is experiencing .

To them he will present his proposal to lower personal income tax for "four out of five Spaniards" and to "reduce

VAT

on electricity and gas."

On the other hand, the new leader of the PP has once again insisted on reaching an agreement with the PSOE so that the list with the most votes always governs.

And even he has put on the table the idea that, as in

Greece

, there will be an extra number of seats for the winner.

"It would be good to resume that the list with the most votes had a plus to be able to form a government" and "that the parties that believe in democracy sign up for formulas that endorse and protect the State."

For Feijóo, "President Sánchez has signed up for a formula that weakens and fragments the State", but "citizens are a bit fed up with minorities ruling in Spain" and they will show it at the polls, in his opinion.

The latest polls suggest that the PP has caught up with the PSOE in expectation of a vote, which is why Feijóo believes that he has endorsed his plan to turn the political focus towards institutionality.

Finally, Feijóo has supported José Luis Martínez-Almeida, after the outbreak of the case about the purchase of masks from the

Madrid City Council

.

"I have no doubts about the honesty of my colleagues, if I had it I would say it. Since I don't have it, I say it with the same frankness, I have no doubts about it", he stated.

"That the Government gives instructions or examples to other institutions is at least sarcasm," added Feijóo, who has stressed that no one from the PP is charged with this matter.

"The Government of Spain has four imputed senior officials. And that today the President of the Government tries to give lessons on honorability... Well, look, honorability is demonstrated every day," Feijóo concluded.
