The firefighters' vehicle ended up on its side, unusable, as evidenced by the photo taken by the Gironde branch of the national union of professional firefighters (SNSPP-PATS 33).

Its occupants were shocked and slightly injured.

The driver fled but in the shock his license plate had fallen off and he was easily arrested.

He was taken into custody for involuntary injuries and drunk driving (after a blood alcohol test) and hit and run.

The measure was extended this Sunday evening.

The care of the individual was delayed by the accident.
