The People's Power took the 'Basic Qualification Assessment Test' for candidates for public office today (17th) for those running for the June local election.

It is the first time that a political party has introduced a qualification test for election nominations, although this test score must exceed a certain threshold to be nominated.

Reporter Kim Hyung-rae came to see this test himself.

At 7:30 in the morning, the Mokdong High School exam center in Seoul is crowded with people.

These are the PPAT test takers, the newly introduced 'Basic Qualification Assessment Test' by the People's Power ahead of the local elections in June.

The subjects of the test are the Party Constitution/Bylaws, Platform Policy, and the Public Official Election Act. Proportional candidates must score 60 points for basic members and 70 points for regional members to receive nomination, and candidates from constituencies receive 10% of their points as additional points for nomination.

SBS reporters also took a test for coverage with the cooperation of our office.

[Lee Jun-seok/CEO of People's Power: We will institutionalize that anyone who wants to hold a public office in the Republic of Korea must have the appropriate competency and will continue to do so.]

After the test, the responses of the test takers were mixed.

[Male Candidate: The previous questions were easy, but those who did not study economics (today's exam) are talking about nothing.

All of them are below 50 points, in my opinion.] [Female test

There was also the voice of , but CEO Lee countered, saying that he was going to nominate Jjamjjami in the secret room.
