A huge demand for a postage stamp showing the sinking of the Russian warship in Ukraine

A postage stamp depicting a Ukrainian soldier raising his middle finger in the face of the Russian warship "Moskva" that sank in the Black Sea has sold well at post offices across Ukraine, becoming a collector's item and a symbol of "victory".

At the central post office in Kyiv, hundreds of Ukrainians of different ages queued for several hours to get the first of this rectangular postage stamp, of which one million copies were to be printed.

"This ship was their biggest, worth about $750 million," said Yuri Kolisan, 22, who waited two and a half hours to buy 30 stamps. "They pinned all their hopes on it but we destroyed it for them."

"It is a new phase of the war, the phase of victory," he added.
