The Russian Foreign Ministry announced this Saturday, April 16 a list of high-level sanctions.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is now banned from entering Russian territory, as is a good part of the government.

A spokesperson for Downing Street this Saturday renews British support for Ukraine and condemnations of the Russian attitude.
Without mentioning the residence bans which, in addition to Boris Johnson, target a dozen political figures.
Among them, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Defense, or even, more surprisingly, the Scottish Prime Minister Nicola Sturgeon and the former head of government Theresa May, who are therefore also affected.
A mainly symbolic measure reflecting the deterioration of relations between the United Kingdom and Russia.

In a statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry denounces an unbridled campaign of disinformation, and unprecedented hostile actions on the part of London.
The British government has adopted several sets of sanctions targeting, in particular, the oligarchs who own luxury residences in the capital and Russian banks.

The UK will stop at nothing to ensure Ukrainians have the resources they need to defend their country from the ongoing Russian onslaught.

Boris Johnson's support for Volodymyr Zelensky, hailed by the Ukrainian president, has also led Moscow to describe the Prime Minister as the "
main agitator
" in the war.
Russia promises to include any other British politician it sees as lapsing into anti-Russian hysteria.
