China News Service, Beijing, April 16th (Ma Shuaisha Li Meng) On April 16th, the Shenzhou 13 manned spacecraft returned to the cabin with a large red and white umbrella, and landed steadily on the Dongfeng landing site. Three astronauts, Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping, and Ye Guangfu, who had been on the road for half a year, were safely returned to the ground.

So far, the Shenzhou 13 manned spacecraft has achieved many firsts and completed its mission brilliantly.

The Shenzhou series spacecraft are the life boats for astronauts to achieve round-trip between heaven and earth. They were developed by the Fifth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

The Shenzhou 13 manned spacecraft consists of an orbital module, a return module, and a propulsion module. After three stages, it travels through the atmosphere at a distance of more than 300 kilometers from the ground.

This is also the eighth time that the Shenzhou series spacecraft has performed a manned mission.

As the second manned spacecraft launched during the key technology verification phase of the Chinese space station, Shenzhou 13 is the Shenzhou spacecraft that has been in space for the longest time so far.

From the first radial rendezvous with "Tianhe" after "departure" to the first rapid return when "going home", the Shenzhou 13 manned spacecraft has continuously set new records in China's aerospace industry, showing a new height of China's aerospace technology.

——The first implementation of radial rendezvous, docking and evacuation

On October 16, 2021, the Shenzhou 13 manned spacecraft carried three astronauts to start the "ultra-long space journey", and adopted the independent rapid rendezvous and docking technology to complete the perfect debut of the "Tian Shen" combination radial rendezvous and docking .

On the same day, the spacecraft docked at the radial port of the Tianhe core module about 6.5 hours after it entered orbit, and formed a four-cabin (ship) combination with the previously docked Tianzhou-2 and Tianzhou-3 cargo spacecraft.

It is understood that this is also planned in advance for the different configurations of the space station assembly. In the future, the visiting spacecraft will meet and separate from the space station in the forward, backward and radial directions to achieve different docking states.

——The first 6-month in-orbit flight mission

After the Shenzhou 13 manned spacecraft was radially docked with the core module of the space station, the docking flight time was increased to 6 months. ability.

——The first emergency rescue launch standby mission

In order to cope with the failure of the in-orbit spacecraft that cannot return, the Chinese space station first established an emergency rescue mission mode during the mission phase, and adopted the "rolling standby" strategy. When the previous manned spacecraft was launched, the next manned spacecraft was on standby at the launch site. By docking the spacecraft in orbit and the spacecraft on standby at the launch site, we jointly ensure the safety of astronauts in orbit.

The Shenzhou 13 manned spacecraft performed the emergency rescue launch standby mission for the first time.

- Implemented the quick return process for the first time

In order to further improve the execution efficiency of the return mission, shorten the implementation time of the ground flight control, and improve the comfort of the astronauts returning, the Shenzhou 13 spacecraft implemented a rapid return for the first time.

Through reasonable cutting and adjustment of flight mission events, and compressing operation time, the time required for return is reduced from more than ten flight laps in the past to five.
