North Korean leader Kim Jong-un observed the test-fire of a new tactical guided weapon, the Rodong Sinmun reported.



The Rodong Sinmun reported that General Secretary Kim Jeong-sik, deputy head of the Ministry of Armaments and Industries, and a commanding officer of the Ministry of Defense, etc.



The Rodong Sinmun reported that the new tactical-guided weapon system has great significance in "remarkably improving the firepower strike power of the front-line long-range artillery units" and strengthening the effectiveness of North Korea's tactical nuclear operation and the diversification of firepower missions.



He also said that General Secretary Kim gave the necessary programmatic instructions to "further strengthen the country's defense and nuclear warfare force."



The new tactical guided weapon launched by North Korea is believed to be a 'North Korean version of the Iskander' missile.
