“Viktor Medvedchuk gave his consent to his exchange and extradition to the territory of the Russian Federation,” Marchenko said in her video message.

According to her, Medvedchuk agrees to the exchange if the Russian and Ukrainian sides reach the relevant agreements.

Medvedchuk's wife Oksana Marchenko appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to help in the release of the deputy.

She also recorded an appeal to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asking for the release of her husband and asked for help from Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
