"Coming to demonstrate against the results of an election, I find that it is deeply anti-democratic. So, I think that the French find it unpleasant to see that their choice is thus contested in the street, through demonstrations", declared the RN candidate to the press, during a trip to Saint-Rémy-sur-Avre (Eure-et-Loire).

"I want to say to all these people: go and vote!" she said, eight days before the second round.

"I believe that (the demonstrators) will not be very numerous, I have known in the past things a little more spectacular", slipped Ms. Le Pen.

About 15,000 demonstrators are expected throughout the territory, according to the authorities.

They respond to the call of more than thirty organizations and unions including SOS Racisme, the CGT or the Syndicat de la magistrature.

According to the far-right candidate, "if the system implements such demonization, it is because it is afraid".

Between these demonstrations and the multiple platforms calling for Emmanuel Macron to vote, "this brutal agitation which we are witnessing between the two towers" is "again not very respectful of democracy", still judged Ms. Le Pen, according to which the "system", symbolized in his eyes by Emmanuel Macron and his supporters, "is worried because he sees that the people want to regain power".
