The South Korean government has finally decided on the 15th to apply for the TPP = Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement in which 11 countries including Japan participate, and aims to apply by the beginning of next month.

In South Korea, the government has been coordinating to join the TPP by holding public hearings to hear the opinions of people involved in agriculture and manufacturing. I finally decided to apply for a promotion plan on a daily basis.

The government plans to report to the Diet and apply for the application within the term of President Moon Jae-in (Moon Jae-in) by the 9th of next month.

However, the Korean government continues to ban the import of marine products from eight prefectures, including Fukushima Prefecture, following the accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station of Tokyo Electric Power Company.

Joining the TPP requires the consent of all member states, including Japan, and the Korean media reports that "Japan is expected to ask South Korea to approve imports during the negotiation process."

For this reason, the future focus will be on how the next administration of Yoon Seok-you, which will be launched on the 10th of next month, will approach negotiations with member countries.
