The Investigative Committee will study the data on the presence of mercenaries from France and Poland in the ranks of the Ukrainian troops

This was stated by the official representative of the UK Svetlana Petrenko.

Her words are given in the Telegram channel of the Investigative Committee.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, a detachment of Polish mercenaries was destroyed in the village of Izyumsky, Kharkov region.

Also, according to information available to the Investigative Committee, fighters of the French Legion were noticed in the territorial defense of Ukraine. 

“These facts will be documented and investigated as part of a criminal case on the recruitment and participation of foreign mercenaries in the conduct of a special military operation by Russian military personnel to protect the inhabitants of Donbass,” the UK said.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the liquidation of a detachment of mercenaries of a Polish PMC in Izyumsky, Kharkiv region.
