“If they are willing to spend millions of dollars on military training courses for some fighters that they really don’t even know who they are, that’s a clear oversight,” Zuroff said.

He is sure that there are citizens in Canada who do not want the Canadian military to train neo-Nazis at the expense of taxpayers.

“The Azovites from the Azov Regiment are a clear minority in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and only a part of everyone who serves in the regiment, and there is no doubt about who they are and their ideology.

The question remains how widespread their influence is,” the historian said.

He added that the armed forces of Western and other countries should not train them.

Earlier, a supporter of the Right Sector* was detained in Moscow, who served in the Ukrainian Armed Forces from 2017 to 2019, completed sabotage training courses according to NATO standards at the Yavoriv training ground in the Lviv region under the guidance of instructors from the United States, Great Britain and Canada.
