The two men lived in the Saint-Louis district, in the 16th arrondissement.
The argument would have broken out in the morning, shortly before the respondent left to retrieve a rifle from the premises of his business and shot his neighbor in the hip.
Taken care of by the firefighters, the latter died a few hours later in the hospital.
