The city of Kramatorsk, in eastern Ukraine, has been emptied of three-quarters of its population since the start of the war at the end of February.

Among the inhabitants still present, some are actively fighting against the Russians.

This is particularly the case of the members of the association "Together until victory" who manufacture camouflage uniforms.

“Who should I be afraid of? This dwarf (to qualify Vladimir Poutine, editor’s note)? No, he never scared me. Thanks to my children, we have gas, electricity, a normal life. That's why we have to help them. We have to protect them with our camouflage. If it saves a single life, we will be happy," Nadia Kalinchenko, a member of the association, told France 24.

Others stayed because they had nowhere to go.

Still others prefer to remain optimistic and have faith in the Ukrainian resistance.
