The Israeli police stormed the courtyard of the Al-Aqsa Mosque before dawn, where thousands of Palestinians gathered to perform the dawn prayer, which led to the outbreak of clashes between the two parties.

The Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance service said 67 people were injured.

Clashes between the two sides continued until Friday morning.

In response to a question about the clashes, an official in the Palestinian Red Crescent said that "seven wounded people were taken to hospital due to injuries to the upper part of the body."

Eyewitnesses said that Palestinians threw stones at the Israeli security forces, who responded by firing rubber bullets at some of them.
