The government held a meeting of the Corona 19 Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters at the Government Complex in Seoul on the morning of the 15th, presided over by Prime Minister Kim Bu-gyeom, and announced this.



Prime Minister Kim said, "From Monday next week, the restrictions on business hours for multi-use facilities, which are currently until 12 pm, and the limit on the number of private gatherings, which were allowed up to 10 people, will be lifted from next Monday. The limit on the number of people in religious facilities, which was only allowed until now, will be removed at the same time.”



He also said, "From April 25, the ban on eating and drinking in indoor multi-use facilities such as movie theaters, indoor sports facilities, and religious facilities will also be lifted."



Prime Minister Kim also urged, "During the week-long preparation period, related ministries, related organizations, associations, and industry will cooperate closely to come up with a multi-faceted plan to protect users from infection."



The mandatory wearing of masks has been maintained.



Prime Minister Kim explained, "It is inevitable to maintain indoor masks for a considerable period of time."



The government also discusses its post-Omicron response plan at today's meeting.



Prime Minister Kim said, "Even if people get Corona, we will promote the transition to a general medical system so that people can maintain their daily lives and receive diagnosis and treatment at local hospitals and clinics." Except that, they will be returned to normal hospital beds.”



It has been announced that the COVID-19 infectious disease rating will be adjusted from the current level 1 to level 2.



Prime Minister Kim explained, "We will adjust the rating on April 25 through the announcement of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, but we will proceed in stages with a transition period of 4 weeks after the adjustment so that the confusion can be minimized and the medical community can prepare for the transition."
