"Following the opening of disciplinary proceedings after the first leg of the Europa League Conference quarter-final between Olympique de Marseille and PAOK FC (2-1), played on April 7, 2022 in France, the president of the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has transmitted the elements concerning the two clubs to the UEFA Appeals Body, which will take an urgent decision on April 19, 2022", explains in a communicated the governing body of European football.

UEFA specifies that "this decision could potentially have an impact on the conditions of access to matches for supporters".

The quarter-final first leg in Marseille on April 7 was marked by clashes between supporters of the two clubs, in town and then at the stadium.

Firecrackers, smoke bombs and even fireworks were launched above the Velodrome's safety nets.

Thirty police officers were injured and a dozen supporters arrested.

On the occasion of the return match this Thursday evening in Thessaloniki, Marseille supporters were banned from traveling.
