On April 12, local time, Kyoto University Hospital in Japan announced that a 10-year-old girl in the hospital had successfully received a living donor lung transplant from her father and mother, who had a different blood type from the patient.

Live-donor transplants with mismatched blood types have been implemented in the liver and kidney fields, and this lung transplant operation is the first in the world.
