There are several hundred students who are determined, in this in-between rounds, to make their voices heard.

And for that, they decided to meet at the Place de la Sorbonne this Thursday, April 14.

They denounce an “

electoral disaster

 ”.

In front of the Sciences Po building, rue Saint-Guillaume in Paris, banners "

no neighborhood for fachos, no fachos in our neighborhoods

", "

no to the far right

".

The building is blocked and the courses take place remotely, management said.

On the spot, activists from Solidaires, Unef, SOS Racisme, but also non-unionized students who refuse the two options they have left after the results of the first round of the presidential election.

Same thing in front of the Sorbonne.

The worsening of precariousness, the state of the planet, racist, Islamophobic and sexist violence worry them deeply.

And for them, neither Emmanuel Macron nor Marine Le Pen will provide solutions to this state of affairs.

“

In five years, we will all more or less be starting our working lives.

We refuse this choice of the second round, which already displeases most of the population, but especially young people, because we are left with a choice between an ultra-liberal government which is literally destroying society, especially at the university level

. denounces Salomé, a second-year law and history student.

Emmanuel Macron has decided to make university fees much more expensive because he says that apparently it works better when the university is paid, when we have one of the best universities in the world.

We also want to welcome all refugee students.

We're in a state of distress because we wonder what we're going to do between Macron, who we've already had five years old, but above all we don't want Le Pen either, and a simply racist government. which is showing its will to destroy fundamental freedoms”,

adds Salomé.

At midday, the security forces pushed back the demonstrators and used tear gas.
