The Palestinian Ministry of Health said this morning, Thursday, that two Palestinian youths died of their injuries as a result of the Israeli military operations in the Jenin governorate, bringing the number of martyrs who have fallen since yesterday, Wednesday, in the West Bank, to 5.

A number of Palestinians were wounded in the village of Kafrdan, southwest of Jenin, in confrontations that occurred during the withdrawal of the occupation army from it, and the condition of one of the injured was described as serious.

The Israeli occupation forces arrested 4 young men from the village, including 3 of the prisoners' brothers, Ayham Kammaji, one of the six prisoners who escaped from Gilboa Prison last September.

A force of the occupation army also stormed the town of Al-Yamoun, north of Jenin, and raided a number of houses, and arrested at least 3 young men.

Funeral and strike

Al-Jazeera correspondent in Jenin, Samir Abu Shamala, said that one of the martyrs today is Shas Kammji, who was shot dead by the occupation during the storming of the village of Kafr Dan, indicating that there is a state of anger among the Palestinians due to the escalating Israeli military operations in Jenin.

He pointed out that the people are preparing for the funeral of the two martyrs, amid their widespread condemnation of the crimes of the occupation.

In the town of Husan, west of Bethlehem, in the southern West Bank, Palestinian youths burned an Israeli settler's vehicle, which entered the town after it was besieged and the settler fled the vehicle and the place.

In conjunction with these developments, a general strike is taking place in the governorates of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, as well as Bethlehem, in mourning for the three martyrs who were killed by the occupation forces yesterday evening Wednesday.

The strike paralyzed all facilities, including educational ones, after a call from the national and Islamic forces.

Deterioration and warning

This comes at a time when the Palestinian presidency has warned that the situation in the Palestinian territories is rapidly deteriorating, unless there is an international intervention to pressure Israel to stop its aggression against the Palestinian people and their sanctities.

The official spokesman for the presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, blamed the occupation for destabilizing the situation by adopting escalation and daily killings.

For its part, the Palestinian factions in Gaza announced a state of general mobilization, and called during a press conference after a meeting in Gaza for more alertness and readiness in defense of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Saleh al-Arouri, deputy head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), called for a mobilization and a response to the continuous incursions of the occupation forces into Palestinian cities and towns.

For its part, the Islamic Jihad movement stressed that the occupation's targeting of all the Palestinian people in Jerusalem and the West Bank will not provide them with the alleged security.

to praise

On the other hand, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett praised the occupation forces' arrest of Moaz Hamed in the village of Kober yesterday evening, Wednesday.

Bennett said in a tweet that Hamed carried out a shooting at a car in the "Kedeh" settlement, killing Malachi Rosenfeld and wounding 3 others.

The occupation forces had arrested Moaz Hamed and others in the villages of Kober and Silwad in Ramallah, and killed 3 Palestinians in Silwad, Nablus and Husan in separate confrontations.

Al-Jazeera correspondent said that the Israeli occupation authorities are studying the tightening of a week-long military siege on the West Bank and Gaza Strip, which begins on the date of the Jewish Passover, tomorrow, Friday.

This development comes after the escalation in the Palestinian territories in recent weeks.

The Israeli radio quoted security sources as saying that the military and security leaderships will meet to assess the situation and take a decision in this regard.
