A letter written by a nine-year-old girl to her deceased mother reveals painful details about the war in Ukraine.
Galia wrote the letter in what appeared to be a diary for her mother, who was killed by the Russian operations.
"Mama, this letter is your gift.. If you think you raised me for no good, you are wrong. Thank you for the nine years of my life. Thank you for my childhood. You are the best mother in the world! I will never forget you! I wish you happiness in heaven. I will try to control my behavior to enter Heaven. Kisses," according to the CBS News translation of the message.
According to Al-Arabiya.net, the Ukrainian Internal Affairs Adviser, Anton Gerashchenko, published a picture of the message on his Twitter account, and Galia had written the message on the eighth of last March, less than two weeks after Russian President Vladimir Putin launched his military campaign against Ukraine. Gerashenko said the girl's mother had died in the Ukrainian city of Borodianka, which has suffered horrific conditions since the Russian invasion.
