As Russia's military invasion of Ukraine continues, Finland's Prime Minister Marin has expressed his desire to reach a conclusion within a few weeks on the NATO application for accession to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

Sweden is also urgently making a decision, and the European security framework could change significantly.

Finnish Prime Minister Marin visited Sweden on the 13th and met with Prime Minister Andersson.

After the meeting, Prime Minister Marin said, "The military invasion by Russia has changed the framework of Europe significantly. There is no way to get a security guarantee without joining NATO." Showed a positive attitude.

The Finnish government has released a report stating that if it applies for NATO, it will be necessary to deal with the situation of heightened tension near the border with Russia, and Prime Minister Marin will use this report in the future. , I would like to discuss in Congress and reach a conclusion on the application for NATO within a few weeks.

Sweden's Prime Minister Andersson also said he would make an immediate decision, saying that sufficient consideration was needed.

Finland and Sweden are members of the EU-European Union, but not the military alliance NATO and have remained militarily neutral.

Therefore, depending on future movements, the European security framework may change significantly, and it seems certain that Russia will strongly oppose it.
