I was ashamed of not having gone all the way."

If during his last interrogation, Salah Abdeslam did not wish to answer the president's questions, he nevertheless assured a lawyer who questioned him that he had given up on blowing himself up.

“I was not at the end.

I gave up activating my belt, not out of cowardice, not out of fear.

I did not want to.

Why, then, did you tell the other members of the cell that this belt hadn't worked?

" The truth ?

I was ashamed of not having gone all the way.

I was afraid of other people's eyes.
