The

National Police

has reported this Wednesday the arrest of a 26-year-old man of Colombian nationality, for having tried to forcefully take away a minor who was playing soccer in a square in Son Gotleu (Palma).

As reported in a statement, the events occurred when some minors were playing soccer and the ball slipped into some hedges.

At that moment, a minor went to pick up the ball, and the alleged perpetrator

wanted to kidnap him.

According to the Police, when the minor was catching the ball, a young man approached him, who said "come with me" while he grabbed his arm and tried to take him by force.

However, those present, upon seeing the action, prevented him from being taken from the place, and rebuked and reproached the now detainee for the action, for which he

fled the place

.

Moments later, a patrol from the National Police, from the GOR, arrived, so they began a raid to locate him and found him walking on a public road, although, upon stopping him, he began to rebuke the citizens who criticized him for his attitude towards the minor, and the accused at one point became aggressive towards the agents, who restrained him and proceeded to arrest him.

In addition, at the moment when he was going to be put in the patrol car, he began to hit his head against the window of the vehicle, for which reason an ambulance had to be called for his assistance due to the injuries presented.

During the intervention

, the area had to be cordoned off to avoid any altercation against the alleged perpetrator

and, finally, he was transferred to the Son Espases hospital for medical evaluation.
