The corresponding decision was explained by the high level of uncertainty regarding the prices of original spare parts and problems with their availability.

“The payment under OSAGO will be considered in this way in relation to vehicles of manufacturers from unfriendly states.

For cars of manufacturers from countries that have not imposed sanctions against Russia, the cost of repairs will continue to be calculated taking into account the prices of original spare parts, and if they are not available on the market, based on the prices of analogues, ”the Central Bank of Russia explained.

The press service of the Russian regulator also noted that the use of analogue prices will provide an opportunity for the owner of the vehicle injured in the accident to receive money and repair the car with not original, but new parts.

Earlier it became known that the Swedish companies Volvo, Scania and Ericsson announced the suspension of business in Russia.

In addition, Hyundai suspends production at its plant in St. Petersburg from March 1 to March 5 due to logistical disruptions in the supply of auto components.
