It was in mid-January that the robbery took place.

The 24-year-old has consistently denied the crime and blamed other people, but the district court considered that the evidence against him was strong enough.

Among other things, the man wrote in text messages to friends that he needed to borrow a car to carry out a robbery, that the later borrowed car was seen on surveillance cameras at the gas station and that the police found clothes, weapons and robbery in the parked car at 24- the yearling's home.

In addition to the robbery, the man is convicted of spitting a police officer in the face, and of having violently resisted arrest, and of an unlawful threat two days before the robbery.

The penalty is 16 months' imprisonment.
