Despite a higher proportion of applicants during the first year of the pandemic, the search pressure has dropped again to lower levels, several municipalities testify to SVT

(see fact box)

- It is difficult to say what it is due to exactly, but now that the pandemic has entered another phase and restaurants and events in the local area also want to recruit, so there are many who toil and pull in the workforce, but I still wonder a little where everyone is, says Anna Hasselbom Trofast, social director of Borgholm municipality.

Started looking at other solutions

If they do not succeed in filling up the services that remain until the summer, Borgholm has started to look and plan for other different solutions to the problem.

- I sincerely hope that we solve it, but we must also look at other solutions.

For example, if you are in a nursing home that you can have a clean kitchen service, to make it easier for the other employees, says Anna Hasselbom Trofast.
