The facts date back to October 2021. Very early in the morning, a man violently attacked two female drivers in the Pradettes district of Toulouse.
The first victim that the stranger tried to extricate from his cabin managed to escape.
The second, brutalized as she parked at work, ended up abandoning her car to the attacker.
But the latter did not go very far.
Driving at full speed, he caused a serious accident and fled on foot.
The technical and scientific police were able to find DNA on the airbag of the abandoned vehicle.
He "matched" with that of an 18-year-old, already known.
It is also from a cell in the Seysses remand center that the investigators had him taken out on Monday for questioning.
The suspect recognized the two car-jackings and was referred to the prosecution in the process.
