The trial in the Court of Appeal ended late on Monday.

Prosecutor Kristin Andersson does not want to see any other punishment than the one handed out by the district court in February: Twelve years' imprisonment and almost SEK 220,000 in damages to the crime victim.

- Robert would not have survived if the attack had not been interrupted, Andersson says.

Defense: Let him go

Defense lawyer Frida Larsson is of a completely different opinion.

She believes that her client should be released and immediately set free.

Among other things, she refers to a forensic medical statement that it was not about lethal violence or life-threatening injuries.

- In the first place I want my client to be released, in the second place that he is convicted of assault, she says.

Then the verdict falls

The Court of Appeal decided that the 32-year-old should remain in custody, which is an indication that there will be a conviction.

A verdict will be announced on Tuesday 19 April at 2 p.m.

In the clip below, Frida Larsson explains why her client should be acquitted.
