Sisi: The crisis of rising commodity prices continues, and the gain must be reasonable (video)

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi expected the continuation of the crisis of high global commodity prices, and called on governors to exert more efforts to control prices.

Al-Sisi said in televised statements while talking to the governors via video link, on Tuesday, that he is very reassured about the presence of food commodities, whether basic or non-essential, noting that what is important now is the "cost of commodities."

He told the merchants, "The gain must be reasonable." He also called on the governors, during his conversation with them, to work on increasing their follow-up to the markets to ensure the availability of goods at reasonable prices so as not to increase the burden on citizens.

He said, "We do not know how long the crisis will last. The crisis may be prolonged and its effects may remain with us, so we must have a vision of providing goods now and in the coming months and controlling prices."

Al-Sisi directed his speech to the governors, saying: "When the citizen meets me next to him in the street, the state will say Shayvani (you see me) and feel me (you feel me).. We must listen to the citizens so that we can be their pulse."
