Jordan announces the success of King Abdullah's surgery in Germany

Today, Tuesday, the Jordanian Royal Court announced that King Abdullah II underwent a successful operation to treat a herniated disc in a German hospital.

And the Royal Hashemite Court said, in a statement, that King Abdullah II "underwent surgery today, Tuesday, to treat a herniated disc in the thoracic spine area, and it was successful, thanks to God and his care."

The statement added that the king, on the advice of doctors, will spend a period of rest after the operation, which took place in a specialized hospital in the German city of Frankfurt, before returning to the homeland.

Last Sunday, King Abdullah left Jordan for Germany for the herniated disc surgery, while Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah was sworn in as deputy king.
