“Prices have increased by 300%, which means that the cost of vegetable products must be higher to cover additional costs,” said one of the farmers.

According to him, “From cartons and diesel fuel to logistics in general, everything is getting more and more expensive.”

As specified, German farmers are trying to shift part of the additional costs to the end consumer.

Earlier, the member of the French National Assembly, Pierre Vaten, expressed concern about the rise in the price of nitrogen fertilizers for farmers.

American farmers also talked about the shortage of fertilizers and a significant rise in fuel prices after the introduction of restrictions on Russia.

According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, fertilizers are a scarce commodity that will continue to be bought from Russia.
