Dubai launches “endowment bonds” to support health, educational and humanitarian projects

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, announced the launch of the "Waqf Sukuk" initiative to support health, educational and humanitarian projects.


His Highness added in a post on his Twitter account: "Dubai today launched, through the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Endowment Consultation, "endowment instruments"... an innovative charitable humanitarian product, the proceeds of which are spent on health, educational and humanitarian projects, while preserving assets."

His Highness said, "Dubai is a pioneer in launching qualitative initiatives not only in the economic and development fields, but also in the humanitarian fields."


He continued, "The beginning is with a hundred million dirhams. It is available for companies and individuals to contribute to those who strive for good in this holy month, adding that endowment bonds will greatly support community contribution." For companies in utilitarian projects.
